For Kato Transport Co.’s Ritsurin 2 Ro-Pax ship, we installed an Open Loop MEP-Multi Inlet scrubber system. This is a turn-key solution.
Ritsurin 2 is a 3664 metric tons vessel from 1990, which has a 109m length and 20 m beam. With an Open Loop scrubber system Ritsurin 2 is now ready to face the IMO2020 challenges.
The scrubber body is 7,3 m high with a 1,8 m width and 2,8 m depth. The scrubber is produced with SMO254, a steel material that provides the best quality assurance and the longest durability for ships at sea.
As a ME Production standard the SOx scrubber was delivered fully insulated and completly ready for a quick installation at Kanda Shipyard, Hiroshima, Japan.
